Sutton Foster is an award-winning performer, dancer and actor who has appeared in eleven Broadway productions - including the return of Violet and also played lead characters in Broadway performances that include The Drowsy Chaperone, Little Women, Young Frankenstein, Shrek The Musical, and her Tony Award-winning performances in Anything Goes and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Star Search, at the 15th birthday, was her first time that she was on television. Since then, she has appeared on Bunheads and Psych. As a solo artist, Sutton has appeared across the US in addition to internationally along with the musical direction of Michael Rafter... featuring songs from her debut solo album "Wish" along with her follow up CD "An Evening With Sutton Foster: Live at the Cafe Carlyle." Sutton Foster has appeared on stage at Carnegie Hall, Feinstein's, Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, Joe's Pub as well as many more. Sutton Foster earned an honorary doctorate from Ball State University in 2011. She is also part of the faculty in Ball State University as a instructor and advisor for dance.
